Acrylic, sumi-e ink, colored ink, digital (Procreate)
Sometimes you just sit down and think to yourself: But what if I did everything, all at once?
In many ways, this was an attempt to replicate a look I realized I could do with acrylic and ink. I had done it once before, so, naturally, I wanted to see if I could do it again.
The answer turned out to be yes, but once I started digitally messing around with it in a more than bare-minimum kind of way, it was hard to shake the feeling I was going a bit overboard.
Obviously, the background is digital, and most of the flower is real - the big difference is that there's some extra red-orange enhancing its bottom portion, plus a little bit of darkening on the very thinist black lines within the petals. I don't think it's very visible (which was the goal), but trust me when I say its there.
